Quality Policy

Safe Host's mission is to become the Leading Data Centre Infrastructure Provider. This is achieved by offering our customers Service Level Agreements backed by the highest standards of engineering and operations. Our services will provide our customers improved performance, reduced risks and lower costs.

Safe Host achieves this level of quality by adopting a system of procedures that reflect the competence of the Company to existing customers, potential customers, and independent auditing authorities.

Achievement of this policy involves all staff, who are individually responsible for the quality of their work, resulting in a continually improving working environment for all. This policy is provided and explained to each employee by the Managing Director or Quality Manager.

To achieve and maintain the required level of assurance the Managing Director retains responsibility for the Quality System with routine operation controlled by the Quality Manager.

Total Quality Management shall be applied to every aspect of our activity and quality shall be the responsibility of everyone, in every activity, throughout Safe Host.

Safe Host SA has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2013 certifications by Société Générale de Surveillance SA.

Safe Host understands that companies and international organizations in Geneva look for globally-recognized certification when searching for partners to manage their IT assets. This award is a reaffirmation of the company's reputation for quality, innovation and long-term commitment to customer care.

Information Security Policy

Security can be defined as “the state of being free from unacceptable risk”. The risk concerns the following categories of losses to IT objects (and by extension their information and data).

• Confidentiality
• Integrity
• Availability

Confidentiality is the principle that data is not disclosed to anyone unauthorised. This is particularly important for customer data.

Integrity refers to the accuracy of data. Loss of data integrity may be gross and evident, as when a computer disc fails, or subtle, as when a character in a file is altered.

Availability is concerned with the full functionality of a system.

The potential causes of these losses are termed "threats". These threats may be human or non-human, natural, accidental, or deliberate.

The Information Security Policy will deal with the following domains of security:

• Safe Host computer systems and data;
• Customer systems and data managed by Safe Host, whether or not on Safe Host premises;
• Physical security. Access to the data center;
• Procedural security, by all staff;
• Communications security, such as remote access.

The most important reason to maintain a secure environment is to maintain our obligations to our clients, many of which are quantified in service level agreements (SLAs). We are obliged to protect the Confidentiality and Integrity of client data and the Availability of their services.

For Safe Host to conduct its business, the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of its IT systems must be maintained.

The use of Safe Host IT assets other than in a manner and for the purpose for which they were intended represents a misallocation of valuable resources, and possibly a danger to its reputation or a violation of the law. This policy is in place to protect the users and Safe Host. Note that some activities, such as sending mass-mailings, can result in our networks being blocked by other providers and so can affect service availability.
