The Data Center Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the Data Center Network and Security Infrastructure.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Analyze network traffic patterns to resolve connectivity issues
  • Analyze system performance, resolve problems and makes appropriate recommendations
  • Provide input to management regarding monitoring solutions and the procurement of network equipment and supplies
  • Design and perform equipment installations and relocation as required to support the business needs of the company
  • Establish the network environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
  • Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
  • Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources
  • Support and manage firewall environments in line with IT security policy
  • Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information
  • Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
  • Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
  • Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
  • On-duty service required


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in Network engineering and Network operation


  • Expert knowledge of network design, implementation and maintenance (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Expert knowledge of network standards (STP, OSPF, BGP etc…)
  • Proficient with Cisco router/switch, Subject Matter Expert
  • Expert knowledge of Multilayer Switched Networks (including NX/OS & IOS-XR)
  • Experienced with VXLAN Networks, MP-BGP EVPN
  • Strong knowledge of firewalling and load balancing concept and implementation
  • Excellent knowledge of TOIP standard
  • Knowledge of PKI design and operation
  • Experience in problem diagnosis and resolution, configuring and maintaining application controls
  • Ability to understand and adhere to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards and regulatory bodies
  • Ability to be a liaison between escalated support and the End User Computing team
  • Network Security experience is a plus
  • Certifications: CCNP
  • Networking: Switches, Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, Load Balancers, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP
  • Systems: Cisco Systems, Fortinet, SDN, Linux/Unix

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with staff who are not technically trained
  • Proficient in analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to assess customer needs to identify appropriate solutions
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across the organization
  • Willing to learn new concepts and participate in projects
  • Driving License required
  • Fluent French and English are required
